USWNT vs Costa Rica Game Day VIDEOS!
/The USWNT face Costa Rica on ESPN tonight at 9PM Eastern in the final match prior to the start of the 2016 Rio Olympics tournament. Costa Rica is a team full of talent, but they shouldn't give the US much of a challenge unless manager Jill Ellis uses the match to try out new tactics or give her reserves some game time.
Here's what Ellis had to say about the send-off match. Video courtesy of U.S. Soccer/Wazee Digital.
Sometimes, we media-types get sent something called b-roll to use either as background video or to cut up and use as we feel necessary to do other things with it. I don't have time today to do anything more with this than share it, but today's b-roll is interesting to watch as-is.
There's warm-ups, full-speed action and several slow-motion captures of several players shooting or saving shots. Some of it has audio, and some is silent. It's a raw look from the sidelines at the USWNT getting ready for today's game.
Any concerns about Carli Lloyd's fitness should be assuaged by watching her portions of the b-roll. Video courtesy of U.S. Soccer/Wazee Digital.
